Niigaan Program

The Mille Lacs Band has Niigaan Program chapters in each reservation district. Band families with youth ages 5-18 are invited to sign up; there is no cost to participate.

Niigaan Program activities run Monday-Saturday. Areas of activity include:

  • Character and leadership development
  • Health and life skills
  • Education and career development
  • The arts
  • Sports, fitness and recreation

Administrative Staff

The Niigaan Club staff are located in District I, District II (East Lake), District IIA (Isle), and District III. Coordinators carry out daily operations and programming for each district and ensure that the program serves the communities effectively. Each coordinator supervises the Nigaan specialists who work under him or her. Any questions, comments or concerns about specific activities of the program should be directed to the respective coordinator.
